Summer Horse Camp at Nirvana Equestrian

Summer at the barn is something special — and we cannot wait to share it with your family.

Each summer, Nirvana Equestrian offers two small-group, four-day camps

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

designed to give children a meaningful, hands-on introduction to horses, riding, and real horsemanship.

At Nirvana, we live by one simple principle:
the horse always comes first.

That means campers don’t just learn to ride — they learn how to understand, respect, and care for a horse. Throughout the week, children are immersed in the full barn experience: grooming, tacking, groundwork, riding at their level, and learning why horses think and respond the way they do.

We focus on strong foundations, safety, and confidence built the right way. When kids slow down, pay attention, and begin to understand the horse, everything changes — their riding improves, their confidence grows, and their connection deepens.

Camp days are structured, engaging, and full of variety, including:

  • Daily horse care and grooming

  • Riding lessons tailored to each child

  • Horsemanship games and skill-building challenges

  • Creative crafts and team activities

  • Confidence-building experiences

  • Plenty of barn fun (and yes — dirty boots included)

What a Week at Camp Looks Like

Each day builds on the last, creating a true learning progression:

  • Monday: Meet the herd, learn safety, and begin riding basics

  • Tuesday: Tack up, ride, and explore communication through groundwork and fun training

  • Wednesday: Practice patterns, build confidence, and prepare for the show

  • Thursday: Horse show day — where campers proudly demonstrate what they’ve learned

Final Show: Families are invited on the last day to watch their child ride and celebrate their progress — a moment that’s always as meaningful as it is memorable.

Safety & Experience

Safety, structure, and respect for the horse are at the core of everything we do.

Campers are closely supervised, taught proper barn behavior, and required to wear helmets while working with horses.

Our program emphasizes responsibility, awareness, and care in every interaction .
